The Story Behind the Collective

A single bottle
changed everything.

My journey began in the Wachau Valley in Austria, where a glass of Franz Hirtzberger Grüner Veltliner stopped me in my tracks. It was more than a wine — it was a place, a season, a person's life's work poured into a bottle. I needed to understand it.

That curiosity led me to pursue WSET Level 2 and Level 3 certifications and to travel through the wine regions of Austria, France, Italy, and Spain. With each visit, my appreciation deepened — for the history, the craft, the diversity that makes wine endlessly fascinating.

Rausch Wine Collective was born from a simple belief: great wine shouldn't feel intimidating. It should feel like a conversation — one that reveals something new every time.
